Testimonials from previous Mindfulness for Health courses
"I'm now able to breathe into my pain and get some relief, daily meditations help me to sleep better and more deeply. All in all I feel more revived and ready for my day. My fatigue has lessened considerably and I feel more in control of my thoughts rather than getting carried away by them. I’d recommend this course to everyone even if they aren’t suffering with their health as I think there’s something that everyone can take out of it. It feels like a journey that I have just embarked on, and I’d like to share that with everyone. Mindfulness has brought me a new appreciation for my life and this is an outlook I’d like everyone to experience. A huge thankyou Tammy, I feel like a happier and calmer person who is more in control of their thoughts. It’s been a massive eye opener and I feel very fortunate to have come across this course."
"I joined the Mindfulness for Health course to help me with pain management. Mindfulness habits and meditation are now a daily ritual. I have a calmer lighter approach to life's challenges especially recently towards to health challenges. Tammy's personal, warm and gentle non- judgmental approach fostered a lovely safe environment for people to comfortably share and support each other. If you're thinking of taking this course just do it! It’s a no brainer, your future self will thank you. Even if you are the biggest of sceptics, let it go and engage with the practice, you won’t regret it."

"I became more aware of when I could be kinder to myself. Now I can accept my health condition with kindness rather than frustration. I’d definitely recommend this course for all health conditions. You can learn to respond to your condition better and become aware of how you're adding to your suffering. I’m really glad I did this course – I’ve learnt life-long tools"
"I discovered that a lot of the pain I experience is due to my own tension and that I can ease that just by being more aware of my own body and breathing. Now I’ve learnt that I can be more in control of my body. When I feel stressed, even taking a few moments to focus on my breath and tension in my body can help me deal with pain. I learnt to let myself off sometimes. If I haven't achieved what I was hoping to achieve, that's OK because I did my best. I realised that previously, I expected much more of myself than of other people. I've become much better at dealing with pain and working with it rather than hardening against it. No matter what your situation, you’re bound to learn more about yourself and take something positive away from this course."
Breathworks is one of the world's leading mindfulness organisation, operating in 35 countries. Its founder Vidyamala Burch developed the Mindfulness Based Pain Management (MBPM) to help her cope with severe pain and health complications following two major spinal injuries. The course has been backed with huge amounts of research, and has changed the lives of thousands of people.
Most people completing an eight-week Breathworks Mindfulness for Health course report lasting benefits including a greater capacity to manage their health symptoms through pacing and experience increased calm, confidence, energy, enthusiasm and appreciation of life.
The underlying principle of MBPM is that we are already whole and that by practising mindfulness and compassion we can rediscover our wholeness.
Through guided meditation, group discussion, experiential activities and supported home practice you will be introduced to a number of simple yet powerful mindfulness practices by Breathworks certified teacher, Tammy.
Many people completing the course report a boost in psychological and physical well-being and find new sources of resilience, joy, kindness and calm to cope better with the stresses and strains of daily life.
