Testimonials from previous Mindfulness for Health courses

"I'm now able to breathe into my pain and get some relief, daily meditations help me to sleep better and more deeply. All in all I feel more revived and ready for my day. My fatigue has lessened considerably and I feel more in control of my thoughts rather than getting carried away by them. I’d recommend this course to everyone even if they aren’t suffering with their health as I think there’s something that everyone can take out of it. It feels like a journey that I have just embarked on, and I’d like to share that with everyone. Mindfulness has brought me a new appreciation for my life and this is an outlook I’d like everyone to experience. A huge thankyou Tammy, I feel like a happier and calmer person who is more in control of their thoughts. It’s been a massive eye opener and I feel very fortunate to have come across this course."

- Sabreen

"It’s been an incredibly challenging time and Tammy’s mindfulness course supported me throughout. Tammy is wonderfully supportive and makes everyone feel welcome whatever their background / concerns. She facilitates inclusive sessions where you’re encouraged to disclose only as much as you feel comfortable to share with others. She keeps the group connected and motivated throughout the programme with regular messages via WhatsApp.  It was really easy to access the meditations, homework reminders and poems and as a group we enjoyed connecting and sharing our learning journey.   If you're thinking about this course - do it! It will have such a positive impact on your life in so many ways and will inspire you to follow a path of mindfulness for your own well-being and for those you love and support around you."

-Victoria

"I joined the Mindfulness for Health course to help me with pain management. Mindfulness habits and meditation are now a daily ritual. I have a calmer lighter approach to life's challenges especially recently towards to health challenges. Tammy's personal, warm and gentle non- judgmental approach fostered a lovely safe environment for people to comfortably share and support each other. If you're thinking of taking this course just do it! It’s a no brainer, your future self will thank you. Even if you are the biggest of sceptics, let it go and engage with the practice, you won’t regret it."

- Nicola Stataridaki

"I became more aware of when I could be kinder to myself. Now I can accept my health condition with kindness rather than frustration. I’d definitely recommend this course for all health conditions. You can learn to respond to your condition better and become aware of how you're adding to your suffering. I’m really glad I did this course – I’ve learnt life-long tools"

-Melanie Rossiter

"I discovered that a lot of the pain I experience is due to my own tension and that I can ease that just by being more aware of my own body and breathing. Now I’ve learnt that I can be more in control of my body. When I feel stressed, even taking a few moments to focus on my breath and tension in my body can help me deal with pain. I learnt to let myself off sometimes. If I haven't achieved what I was hoping to achieve, that's OK because I did my best. I realised that previously, I expected much more of myself than of other people.  I've become much better at dealing with pain and working with it rather than hardening against it. No matter what your situation, you’re bound to learn more about yourself and take something positive away from this course."

-Hannah Blake

"The mindfulness course with Tammy is excellent. She has provided me with the necessary mindful tools and strategies to help me cope and think about the present. This has greatly helped to managed stress and chronic pain through meditation and other mindful practices. She provides a safe, supportive environment for you to engage and open up with others and improve your wellbeing. I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in mindfulness to have me time. I would highly recommend contacting Tammy to try one of her courses.”

- Harjeet

The techniques helped me focus on what was actually going on and let go of the fear that was making things much worse. I now truly understand the difference between pain and suffering. I even used the insight on a long cycle ride recently in order to get me up a steep hill! It was one of those ‘ah-ha’ moments. I focused on the here and now, and realised the pain in my thighs wasn’t anything compared to the anxiety-induced pain I felt looking up to the top of the hill and telling myself I couldn’t do it! As soon as I realised what was happening, I relaxed my tense shoulders, ungritted my teeth and slowly pedalled. It was amazing. If you're thinking about it then do it! Tammy is an inspiring and supportive guide who really helps you get to the core of the issues

I was inspired to do the online course because I have the chronic health condition Endometritis and wanted to learn to respond well to my discomfort when it flared up.

During this course, I discovered that I hold my breath a lot! The teaching on the breath was really interesting for me. Particularly I noticed that my discomfort levels are not as bad as I thought and that I go through large patches of time with no symptoms. I also found it so useful to remember to carry the mindful practice into my whole day rather than just making time for meditations.

I became more aware of when I could be kinder to myself. Now I can accept my health condition with kindness rather than frustration. I’d definitely recommend this course for all health conditions.
