About the session
Often we go through life on automatic pilot. Rarely do we stop to pay attention to what is going on around us.
Whether you're brand new to mindfulness or have had some experience, join accredited Breathworks teachers for an introduction to the simple yet powerful world of mindfulness through guided meditation, experiential activities and group discussion.
This session will take place in a friendly group setting, guided by Breathworks accredited teacher Tammy, who is registered with the British Association of Mindfulness-based practices. (BAMBA).
You will be given an introduction to what mindfulness is, how it is practiced, and guided through some short practices and a meditation.
You will come away with some simple practices to help you incorporate mindfulness into your daily life, as well as some suggestions for the next steps to take on your journey.
The session will be one hour with an additional 30 minutes available for any questions.
Who this is suitable for
Anyone experiencing stress associated with work, relationships, loss and other factors outside your control, including dealing with the general complexity and pace of modern life. Also helpful for anyone with a long-term health condition, illness or chronic pain.
Those with a general interest in mindfulness are also very welcome to attend.
Please arrive a few minutes before the session is due to take place - the session is for a relatively brief time so we will start promptly.
As well as giving you an introduction to mindfulness and the Breathworks approach, this taster session will also allow you to understand if the 8-week Breathworks Mindfulness for Health or Mindfulness for Stress courses are suitable for you.
